Let’s not beat about the bush – the main reason people come to visit Fronton is the fantastic wine tasting. These wines are fresh, fruity, and pleasant. If you pick your wine cellar carefully, you’ll find excellent wines at low prices. It’s not a particularly original village, but it’s a great stop-off for a glass of wine if you’re coming through.

Not to be missed: The Verfeil cemetery is the resting place of the daughters of the Countess of Ségur. The daughters were not a myth, they did exist, and are buried in the shadow of the church at Saint-Sernin-des-Rais.
