Lauzerte
Today, its a forgotten village, classified as one of the most beautiful in France. In the middle ages, it was an important town, situated on top of a hill overlooking the road from Cahors to Moissac. However, the when the French emperor created the département Tarn-et-Garonne in 1808, it lost its status and the town became a village.
Standing in the central square, Place des Cornières, is a wonderful experience. Go and see it.
