Off season, it’s a pretty calm village. In the winter, its ski-city… this is the main ski resort of the Pyrenees, with 15km of pistes in the most beautiful scenery that you can imagine. Saint-Lary and its ski-station are linked by a chairlift which was the longest in the world when it was built in 1957.

Saint-Lary is a naturally beautiful place, and the Bear Museum is worth a look – bears are still seen in the Pyrenees.
